Pregnancy update: week 24.

Last week we were giggling all week long about finding out we're having a girl!  The day after we found out, we promptly began shopping for baby shoes and clothes for Ella.  We've already picked out some new paint for the nursery, too!  I spent a little bit of time yesterday taking all of Emmett's clothes and things out of the nursery, and let me tell you, that was pretty hard.  The emotional roller coaster of being pregnant while still experiencing such fresh grief is a little overwhelming.  I came across a little hat and some booties I had purchased for him, actually the last thing I had purchased before he passed, and I seriously lost it.  I couldn't bear to pack them away with everything else, so they're currently in our room with all of my other Emmett things.

Overall though, Ryan and I are both feeling extremely excited for little Ella to arrive!  We just want to hold her and kiss her sweet face.  We're both hoping and praying these last couple of months of pregnancy fly by!  Ella has consistently been a very active little one, which is such a wonderful comfort for us.  Ryan and I call her our joyful baby, because that's the best way to describe the feeling.  She is a true little bundle of joy!  (2016...hurry up, already!)

Currently:  24 weeks, 1 day pregnant
 Baby is the size of:  a cantaloupe, about 1-1.5 lbs

I'm feeling:  sore!  My lower back is starting to hurt already.  Otherwise, I feel really great!

Cravings:  Reese's pumpkins (still!), and peppermint hot chocolate.  Yum!
