A little recap of our trip to Disney.

Talk about feeling at home! <3 td="">

It has taken me longer than I'd like to admit to find my way back to this space.  I say it all the time, I write for myself, but I also write to give a voice to those of us who are hurting, in the hopes that I can offer a little peek into our world, the dark place for those of us who have experienced A Great and Terrible Loss.  Sometimes though, when you live in that world, you find it's easier to hide under the covers, both literally and metaphorically.  Hence my absence from the blog the past few days.

I don't want to end things on that note though!  So this post is just a little recap of our Disney trip, and this week I have a few others scheduled.  I've been in a really awkward place (mentally) lately, so bear with me as I try to keep things balanced.

This trip was exactly what the doctor ordered.  As soon as we touched down in Orlando, I immediately felt a sense of relief.  Then when we got to our resort, it was like the clouds parted, and angels started singing! (Seriously, I'm only barely exaggerating :)  We stayed at Disney's Beach Club Villas, and I cannot say enough good things about the place.  Everything was beautiful - the gardens, the decor, everything!  So if you ever have a chance to go…go!  You won't be disappointed :)

Here are a million few photos from the trip.  To see more, you can visit me on Instagram @sara_langford, or simply look at the hashtag - #LangfordsLeaveHouseForMickeyMouse :)

My favorite ride at Disney World - The Rock & Roller Coaster!
Then there was that moment when I found my ride. #RealCinderella
All of the gardens at our resort were beautiful…seriously.  I need to go back.  Immediately.

Ryan and I kept giggling over how our resort was decorated, because seriously, it's the style that we've been (s.l.o.w.l.y) working towards for our house!  Seriously.  Go check out the gorgeous ginger jar action on my Instagram.  We felt like we were in interior design heaven :)

Just part of the GORGEOUS pool at our resort! (Take me back now, please.)
Everyone loves a good mirror pic ;)
Hilarious selfie as Andy's newest & favorite toys. These people got behind us in line & were looking at us funny. Hence our awkward expressions, HA!
My favorite sandals + a hidden Mickey :)
Welcome Home indeed…our new home away from home!
We didn't neglect to take a few late night strolls along the Boardwalk…#perfection.
Right before we met...
Mickey Mouse!!! <3 td="">
And Minnie Mouse!
Posing with Farmer Mickey & Minnie :)
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.

We also enjoyed some late night park strolling through Epcot.
My favorite topiary! (Of course.)
Snapped this on our way out, it turned out like a painting. The moment was breathtaking…I have high hopes to recreate this photo with an acrylic painting one of these days.
Like I've said before, I had so looked forward to taking Emmett to Disney World.  We purchased a pair of ears for him, and I thoroughly enjoyed carrying them around with us throughout our trip.  Again, grief is weird, and sometimes makes you do weird things.
Moments before riding iconic Space Mountain.  Also…we loved wearing our Mickey ears…and they now sit happily on a shelf in our living room, ready and waiting to return to Disney :)

We found the wishing well outside of Cinderella's castle, and naturally we had to make a couple of wishes.
Meeting the Tremaine family was one of the best character experiences I've ever had!!! They were hilarious.
Naturally, we were really excited to meet Cinderella…(P.S. like my crown? My prince bought it for me, AND it lights up. Bam.)
She was a doll.  She asked what brought us on our journey, so I wound up telling her about our sweet Emmett.  She fought tears and told us she was thrilled we chose to come see here.  It was a real-life magical moment for us.  Thank you, Cinderella! <3 td="">
Rapunzel was also one of the best princesses I've ever met.  We joked about frying pans, and she even got Ryan to show us his smolder ;) Thank you for the laughs & awesome morning, Rapunzel!

I have to extend million thanks to everyone at Walt Disney World who made our stay so incredible.  I joked with my friend when we came home that leaving WDW property was like culture shock.  When you stay at Disney, and experience all that they have to offer, everyone seems so genuinely happy!  Even getting to the Orlando airport after our trip was over, I kept flinching at everyone's grim expression (I might be exaggerating slightly here…but really, kind of not at the same time).

On our flight home, Ryan and I were already busy trying to keep our post Disney depression away by chatting excitedly about going again…because we can't wait to get back!
