Nursery reveal.

After many, many long months, we've finally (mostly) completed the nursery.  There are still a few tiny projects that aren't quite complete, like the remaining artwork waiting to be hung, and a few other small projects, but her room is MORE than ready for her arrival.  With Emmett, he passed the week we were going to finalize his nursery, so we never got around to finishing it.  This time, we have been really intentional on spending time in here, decorating, and using the preparation as part of the healing process.

So, here it is!  The grand nursery reveal!  This journey has been a looong one…and if I'm honest, a somewhat difficult one.  When we found out we were pregnant with our second child, we experienced a vast range of emotions, from feeling over the moon excited to major anxiety.  (For obvious reasons.)  Spending time converting this room into Ella's space has been a major source of healing, and now it's my favorite room to spend time in.  You'll notice we don't have the glider in here, it's in our living room.  This room is teeny tiny, so we had to shift things around.  I usually come in here and sit on a pillow on the floor, reveling in all of its pink glory :)

When Elise took our maternity photos the other day, we took a few in the nursery.  Clearly, we have some elements of Cinderella, as well as a few elephants.  Elephants kind of became our unofficial them for Emmett, and anytime we see one we think of him, so it was important to include that component.  A couple of the things were meant to be his, but we've loved reusing it as a way of keeping him part of things, and so we can have more opportunities to talk about him when she's a little bit older :)  Hope you enjoy!
